Grade Column ManagerThe Grade Column Manager Building Block for Blackboard provides two utilities for easily managing Grade Columns. 'Batch Create Grade Columns' The 'Batch Create Grade Columns' tool is provided as both a Course Tool and a System Tool. The Course Tool version allows users to quickly create multiple Grade Columns in the Grade Centre without the need to use the 'Create Column' button. It lets you enter a Column Name, select a Primary Display Type and Category (based on the display types and categories defined in the course) and enter Points Possible. The System Tool appears in the 'Tools and Utilities' section of the System Admin panel and enables administrators to create multiple columns in any course without the need to actually go directly into the course. A course search facility is provided to obtain the course ID. 'Batch Delete Grade Columns' This is a Course Tool which enables users to select and delete multiple Grade Columns. This eliminates the need to manually delete columns on an individual basis. The tool will only allow you to delete columns which are NOT associated with any gradable items (e.g. assessments) or the column marked as 'External Grade'. This replicates the behaviour of the Grade Centre. The Building Block is marked as 'beta' for the time being, but we are running this on our production server. Please feel free to download, install and report any errors you experience.
